Any cat lover knows too well that every warm and soft fabric will be turned into a sweet bed by the feline.
Well, this is what happened to my ponchos, sweaters, blakets…and I can’t use them while she is sleeping because I don’t dare waking up Her Majesty!
One day, while looking at Miao sleeping peacefully on my ponchi and thinking I would like to learn jacquard knitting I was struck by a great idea: I could make a jacquard blanket for Miao! I could kill two birds with one stone! I could free my poncho and learn a new tecnique!
With great enthusiasm I looked for pattern and tutorial on my granma’s book and on internet.

And since it’s a blanket for Miao I couldn’t miss some cats 1 !
Knowing that the blanket would be ruined by Miao in no time (she loves pulling strings…) I used leftover yarn that I had laying around, facing a limited colour selection and a difference in yarn thickness.
Using this tecnique was fun, I liked seeing the pattern taking shape as I worked, and I love playing with colours and lines.

It can improve, but since its my first try I’m happy with it!
And what about Miao?
She appreciates her new blanket, but she likes to also use mine…
