The house I’m currently living in is quite old and has a lot of heat loss, so during winter although we have a fireplace I want to wrap myself in a blanket or a poncho.
One poncho was not enough, I clearly can’t use it when Miao is sleeping on it!
I wanted to find a simple idea, something quick and easy and I wanted to get rid of all the scrap yarn I had inherited from my Granma and some that I had left from precious projects. I decided to realize a poncho with two rectangles work in stockinette stitch.
Each rectangle is 130×70 cm.
In the images below you can find a diagram that shows how to connect the two rectangles.
I started working without thinking to much, but after completing the first rectangle I remembered something important: stockinette sticht tends to curl! Of course I didnt want to redo everything, so I tried using the Icord method on the edges and it helped a little.
After connecting the rectangles I work the edges and the neck with a 1-1 rib.
This is the finale result.
